"Mom was a very loving and caring person. She loved to spend time with her family. She loved to cook. She would cook chili every Saturday. She made a scratch banana pudding that everyone loved. She had recipe for homemade ice cream that was published. She loved family reunions. She loved to go camping and fish. One of her favorite spots was Dale Hollow Lake. We would always make time to visit family on our vacations. She loved going to The Great smoky mountains and Pigeon Forge. She loved going to see the Cincinnati reds and the Dayton Dragons, even had season tickets for several years. She went to the Golden Lamb on her wedding night, and for several Anniversaries. Her favorite singer was Eddie Arnold. One of her favorite hymns was Amazing Grace. She was a very caring person and help take care of some foster kids, one of which we adopted,Gail. She took in her brother and sister,Lou and Jr.(Smith) when her mom passed away. She would always tell you to go put a sweater on by saying “I’m cold go put a sweater on”.
