"Hard working, dependable, ornery, strong and selfless" are just a few of the words used to describe James "Rusty" Johnson, age 73, of Bellbrook, who passed away Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at his home.
He was born March 4th, 1945 to Dorothy (Ruveal) and Clifford Eugene Johnson, both of whom preceded him in death.
Rusty was employed as a truck driver for Bellbrook Transport for 33 years.
Rusty is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda (Cook), son Dr. Russell "Russ" (MaryAnne) of Bowling Green, daughter Tina Hartings of Bellbrook, 6 grandkids, Dr. Brien (Alli) and their sons, Jacob and Lucas; Bradley, Mackenzie, Jacqueline, Levi, and Charlie; one brother, Richard (Lin) of Lebanon.
Rusty loved his grandkids and his family. He loved to build things, from fireplaces and kitchen cabinets to water beds and wood splitters, and everything in between. He also enjoyed the simpler things in life like sunrises and sunsets, and spending time with his family.
To help the family celebrate his life, you are invited to Rusty's visitation on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St. Bellbrook. Life celebration services will continue at 11:00 am on Friday, December 14th, 2018 with burial to follow at Bellbrook Cemetery.
