Obituary for Barbara Leah "Babs" Frasure (Behnken)

A loving, easy-going family caregiver, Barbara "Babs" Frasure, resident of Spring Valley, passed away Monday March 16, 2020 at her home. She was 85. Babs was born on June 12, 1934 in Dayton to Herman and Noveline (Williams) Behnken.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Harold L.; one son, Harold L., II of Spring Valley; and four sisters, Bonnie Auckerman (Marv) of Englewood, Judy Brammer of Missouri, Joan Shaneyfelt of West Carrollton, and Sharon Colia of Bellbrook.

Babs had a diverse list of passions. She loved horses, riding as well as watching and admiring their beauty. She enjoyed collecting different kinds of baby dolls over the years. Babs was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, win or lose. In her younger years, she and her husband were part of the "Killawatts" Clogging Crew. Babs also treasured the times spent at her mom's house, playing cards and just enjoying family. Babs will be forever remembered for being a loving wife and caring mother.

You are invited to celebrate her life on Thursday March 19th from 5-7 pm at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook. Remembrance services will also be held on Friday at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow in Bellbrook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Hospice of Dayton, 9324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45420. You are welcome to send a condolence or share a story about Barbara here on her Online Book of Memories.
