Obituary for Carroll Christine Fryman (Bach)

Carroll “Mamaw” Christine (Bach) Fryman, age 87, of Bellbrook, passed away Friday, March 10th, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 26th, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio to Christine (Arnold) and George Bach. After graduating from Stivers High School, she landed a job as a key punch (data-entry) operator for L.M. Berry Company and then DESC as well as Top Value Enterprise.

Carroll loved to have a good time. She would hang out with family and friends to watch old movies like “Singing in the Rain" or listen to Nat King Cole, go bowling, golfing, dancing, and playing cards. She enjoyed hosting and cooking large quantities of food for many get-togethers over the years for friends and family, especially on the holidays.

Known affectionately by many as “Mamaw”, she was an avid supporter of Bellbrook. She loved Bellbrook, and oftentimes said it was the perfect place to raise a family. Carroll loved to work in her flower garden, and she and her husband, Harold, were recipients of the Bellbrook Home Beautification Award. She was also a longtime fan of the Dayton Flyers, Cincinnati Reds as well as Bellbrook sports. She loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in school sports. And for her work as an Athletic Booster, she was inducted into the Bellbrook Football Hall of Fame. She was also a strong supporter of higher education, and she and Harold were able to provide the means for all their children to further their education as they wanted.

Carroll was predeceased by her mother, Christine Regina Coleman, stepfather Earl Coleman, Aunt Julia Arnold Coleman, and her uncle Arthur Coleman. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 68 years, Harold Fryman, their 5 children, Charles A. Fryman (Barb Fryman), Craig A. Fryman ((Laura Fryman), Chris L. Fryman (Teresa Fryman), Cynthia J Wilson (Dan Wilson), and Patrick H. Fryman (Steven Nedlin); 12 grandchildren, Brent Wilson (Monica Wilson), Darin Wilson, Nolan Wilson, Dionne Fryman, Jake Fryman, McKenna Fryman, Ben Fryman, Ellie Fryman, Abby Fryman, Alex Fryman, Claire Fryman, Ethan Fryman, great-grandchild, Braden Patrick; her brother Richard Bach (Betty Bach), her brother-in-law, Jimmy Fryman, as well as other family and the many friends she found throughout the years in Bellbrook and New Smyrna, Florida.
