Her favorite singer was Eddie Arnold. One of her favorite hymns was Amazing Grace. She was a very caring person and help take care of some foster kids, one of which we adopted,Gail. She took in her brother and sister,Lou and Jr.(Smith) when her mom passed away. She would always tell you to go put a sweater on by saying “I’m cold go put a sweater on”. My Grandma was one of the sweetest, most generous, and all around best woman I've had the pleasure of knowing. I had very fond memories with her and my Grandpa. A tradition we had with her every Christmas Eve as children I still have every Christmas with my own family. We would go over there and spend time with her and Grandpa, we'd decorate their tree, listen to Christmas music (in which I always sung very loudly), and eat pizza and cookies. My Mom (Gail) continued the tradition when we moved to Florida and now my husband and I do it as well with our children. I always felt very loved in my Grandma's presence and I will miss her greatly.
