Obituary for Margaret Dierken

Dierken, Margaret , age 100, of Trotwood, passed away Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 at Maria-Joseph Center. She was born December 22nd, 1921 to Emilie (Lorsbach) and William Dierken in Dayton, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her two brothers Lester William Dierken and Walter Frederick Dierken.

Margaret received her Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Dayton. Margaret retired from Turnburk, Brock & Gadney, CPA where she worked as a bookkeeper. She had a strong belief in family and faith. As an active member of both Incarnation and St. Mary's Catholic Church she participated in many groups, and shared her time and faith joyously. In her 80's, Margaret was a devoted volunteer of the Dayton Chapter of the American Red Cross, donating her time to care for the plants throughout various offices. She loved all living things, with a special place in her heart for birds, those she kept as pets, and the wild ones which she reliably fed, especially in the colder months of the year. Margaret thanked God for the gift of a long life and lived it actively up until just a few weeks before she passed, spinning through the halls of the Maria-Joseph Center, greeting and entertaining her visitors with energy and vitality.

To help celebrate her life, you are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 30th, 2022 at 10:30 am at St Mary's Catholic Church (310 Allen St. Dayton, Ohio 45410), with burial at Clearwater Municipal Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, Margaret requested donations be made to a Catholic charity of your choice. You are welcome to send a condolence, plant a tree and share a story or picture about Margaret at www.ConnerAndKoch.com.
