Mary Katherine "Katie" Henry, age 96, of Centerville, passed away Friday, February 12th, 2021.
Mary was born October 10th, 1924 to Henrietta (Rice) and Vern Shinkle. She earned her degree from Christ Hospital School of Nursing, Cincinnati. Before retiring, she was a Registered Nurse for Dayton School of Practical Nursing. Mary retired from the State Teachers Association.
Mary was an enthusiastic geneologist. She loved to read and was active in a book club.
She was preceded in death by her her husband Frank T. Henry, Sr. Mary is survived by one son Frank T. Henry, Jr., one daughter Dianne Henry, one sister Betty Ann Baldwin, and four grandchildren Elizabeth, Christine, Michael and Katie..
The family will be celebrating her life privately at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home with burial to follow at Shinkle's Ridge Cemetery in Higginsport, Ohio. Rev. Diane Ziegler will be officiating.
