Obituary for Patsy Prichard

Mildred "Patsy" Prichard, age 91, of Spring Valley, went home to be with Jesus and many loved ones on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022.

Patsy was born on September 11th, 1930 to John Crit Sears and Lula Mae (Ohler) Sears. She grew up in Kentucky as one of six, and after marrying Joe Kenneth Prichard in 1947, she started her own large family. She lovingly raised her kids and ran the household before working at Elder Beerman for over 25 years.

Throughout her life, Patsy loved to garden with her husband, Kenneth, growing beautiful flowers and delicious food for their family. She also did plenty of canning, making sauces, jams, jellies, and preserving all the vegetables. She was a a great cook and an even better host for all the family gatherings and holidays. She enjoyed sewing and could make everything from curtains and aprons to suit coats and dresses. Patsy was also an avid reader, enjoying a variety of novels and fiction authors.

Patsy was a woman of faith, and was very dedicated to serving her Christian brothers and sisters. She was a charter member of Far Hills Baptist Church where she was involved for many years before becoming a member at Kettering First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School with the first graders. She even traveled for Missions work, going to both England and Hawaii, and always taking the hope of the gospel as she went. Her caring and kind-hearted spirit will be missed by many, but most of all by her family.

She is survived by three sons Kenny (Rita), Paul (MaryAnn), and Don (Mary Claire), one daughter Judy Ann Burdine (Greg), 18 grandchildren, Andrew (Nikki), April (Steve), Rose Marie (Larry), Joey (Alicia), Jenna (Chris), Jacob (Jaymee), Jarred (Abby), Jordan, Jennifer (Grant), Josh (Haley), Justin (Shayna), Kristi, Brittany, Denise (Mike), Michelle (Kyle), Lauren (Paul), and Jacqueline (Owen), and 31 great-grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents John and Lula Sears, husband Joe Kenneth Prichard, three sisters Velma, Helen, and Estelle, two brothers Herman and George, daughter Genita Sue Prichard, granddaughter Jill Henderson, and great-grandaughter Grace Lynne Kimbell.
