Obituary for Patricia H. Young (Holmes)

An artsy, caring, and talkative lady, Patricia H. Young, age 92, of Kettering, met Jesus on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born on January 24th, 1930 to Edward and Fauna (Beasley) Holmes. When she was young, she loved her show-horses, and when she grew up, she achieved both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in fine arts, and absolutely loved to participate in crafting projects. She retired from Bankers National Life Insurance and LensCrafters, where she did both clerical work and sales.

Patricia was a devout Christian and involved member of Mt. Zion Church. She enjoyed volunteering for the church's social activities, especially the program involving nursing homes. She led a faith-based life, and others often recognized her joy as the joy of the Lord. She loved Hobby Lobby, "As Seen On TV" gadgets, and her cat, Belle. She always started her Christmas shopping a year in advance and never turned down a cookie.

She will be missed most by her children, Rick Young (Debbi) and Donna Power (John), grandchildren Lauryn (Brian), Erik (Courtney), Renee (Jason), Matt, and Maria (Nick), great-grandchildren Scarlett, Bennett, Truett, Juliett, and Poppy, and brother Richard Holmes (Marlene). She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Christopher, and sister-in-law Carole.

You are welcome to write a condolence message, plant a memorial tree, and share a story or picture of Patricia at www.ConnerAndKoch.com. The family will hold private services for Patricia, and they ask that you donate to a charity of your choice in her memory.
