Obituary for Robert Frank Morris

A big-hearted and talkative husband, dad, and papaw, Robert "Bobby" Frank Morris, age 85, of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021 in Centerville.

Robert was born on January 30th, 1936 to Frank Morris and Hallie (Moore) Morris. In his early years, he developed a love for cars, most likely as a bi-product of his dad working at GM, a love that continued throughout his life. He worked at NCR for several years and became employed as a salesman for Leblond Makino in Mason, Ohio for nearly 20 years. While working in sales, he was able to do a substantial amount of traveling, which he enjoyed. He was able to see many places around the world including Switzerland, Singapore, and Germany. Bobby also served as a volunteer firefighter for over 15 years, which he both enjoyed and was immensely proud of.

Bobby loved many things, but nothing more than his family. He loved the family's Sunday lunch tradition, and always looked forward to opportunities for the house to be noisy and full! Though he loved them dearly, these family events could never fill his social quota, so he involved himself with the Masons and Shriners, attended monthly meals with friends from Makino and Bellbrook High School, and often found himself sitting on the porch waving at and making friends with all the neighbors. He especially enjoyed chatting about cars and restaurants, as he was a connoisseur of both. He loved Esther Price chocolate, Lyons club carnivals, and cooking from behind the grill, even in freezing weather.

He was one of a kind and will be missed daily by his wife of 64 years, Alice Morris, children Patricia (Michael) Anderson and David (Lisa) Morris, grandchildren Dara Phibbs (Carl), Michael Morris (Nicole), Christopher Morris (Patricia), Tyler Morris (Alyssa Lowe), and Nathaniel Morris (Leah), and great-grandchildren, Carter Phibbs, Lily Phibbs, Jackson Morris, Grayson Phibbs, Jack Morris, Levi Morris, Serena Morris, Lila Morris, Hannah Remley, and Alisyn Spencer.

To help the family celebrate his life, you are invited to share during his visitation at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home (92 W. Franklin St. Bellbrook, Ohio 45305) on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Life Celebration service will be held Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 at 12:00 pm, beginning with Masonic services, with burial to follow at Bellbrook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shriner's Children's Ohio (1 Childrens Plaza, Dayton, Ohio 45404). You are welcome to send a condolence, plant a tree, or share a memory about Bobby at www.ConnerAndKoch.com.
