Albert Joseph ""Joe"" Hodapp IV's Obituary
Hodapp, Albert Joseph IV “Joe”
Joe was born May 20, 1988 in Dayton to Diana Marie (Chagoyan) and Albert Joseph Hodapp, III. He was voted by his peers in high school as “Most Athletic” and “Class Clown”, and won many awards for his athletic ability. Joe loved his family and friends and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe was a 2007 graduate of Bellbrook High School, attended St. Francis of Assisi Church, Miami University and was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity. He had worked as a cashier at Steinmart and most recently as a machinist at Mound Manufacturing Center. Joe passed away unexpectedly Wednesday February 12, 2014. He was 25. Joe is survived by his parents, Diana Hodapp, Al Hodapp, sister Maria Hodapp, all of Bellbrook, paternal grandmother Marie Hodapp of Dayton, maternal grandmother Lupe Chagoyan of Centerville and girlfriend Maddie Hill. The family will receive friends Sunday February 16 from 4-7 pm at CONNER & KOCH Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6135 Wilmington Pike, Centerville. Father Tom Gaeke officiating. Private burial in Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joe’s memory to the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Education Foundation, PO Box 5, Bellbrook, OH 45305. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.ConnerandKoch.com. Joe was such a warm hearted person, always seeing the best in people. He was so friendly and outgoing. Joe is the only person that could become friends with someone by talking to them at the cheese counter at Kroger. Joe loved being the center of the party and could brighten up the room with his laugh, smile and personal antics. He never hesitated to give a compliment or crack a joke just to make someone smile and brighten their day. Nothing meant more to him than his family, girlfriend, friends and Sigma Pi fraternity brothers. In the words of Joe’s idol, Jason Bourne, “I do remember something good. All the time.”
