I am deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Andy Longinow. I first met Dr. Longinow in 1988 as a student in his bridge design course, and he quickly became not just my professor but also a mentor, colleague, and dear friend. He played a pivotal role in launching my career at Wiss, Janney, Elstner (WJE), where we worked side by side in the Structures I Department on many projects over the years. Our relationship grew from that of professor and pupil to trusted colleagues, but even more meaningful was the lasting friendship we built. Dennis J. and I will always cherish our annual Christmas dinners at his favorite Mexican restaurant (Maya del Sol) in Oak Park, IL, moments filled with laughter and shared memories. I will miss you dearly, Andy. Thank you for everything you taught me—in engineering and in life.
Aldo De La Haza.
