Arline Sue Robertson's Obituary
Arline Sue Robertson, age 74, of Xenia, OH, and formerly of Virginia and Texas, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, OH.
Arline was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from Mac Arthur High School in 1969. She went on to earn a Vocational Nursing certification at St. Phillips College in San Antonio, Texas, in 1990. Recently, she enjoyed attending Lighthouse Baptist Church in Xenia. She had finally found that church home for which she was always yearning.
Loving, caring, giving, and kind, Arline had a cheeky sense of humor and had the ability to lighten the mood during times of uneasiness or uncomfortable situations. She was caring and nurturing to everyone, even to those who were not family members. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, vegetable gardening, and cooking. Her family will always remember how good her banana bread was, and they will also remember how special she made the holidays. Along with her daughter Melisa, she always started planning the holiday meals in July and would purchase and freeze the features so that they were ready come Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing were some of her most noted delectables, but the entire meal was always special. Additionally, Arline was always beautifully dressed, and she loved decorating her home with the seasons. Her favorite things included her simple, yet dainty, costume jewelry, and her beloved dog, Chevelle. She recently had completed reading most of the Bible within the last year and was a fervent believer in Christ. She will be treasured most for the pride she took in being a mom and grandma, especially to the four grandsons she lived with.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Joe, in 2006; her parents, Melford and Margaret Mayer; and two brothers, Stephen and Daniel Mayer. She is survived by four children, Patricia (Jeffrey) King, Melisa Custer, Manuel Arreche II, and Michael Arreche; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her sister, Linda Campos.
