Barbara Ellen Niles (Roach)'s Obituary
Niles, Barbara Ellen (Roach) "Barb" , passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton in Dayton on Tuesday June 28th, 2016 at the age of 61 years. Barb was born August 27th, 1954 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Clarabell (Bush) and Richard Roach. In her teenage years, she enjoyed Teen Bible Quizzing and church camp in the summers. She attended Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and earned a bachelors degree in Social Work from Wright State University. Barb was a hard worker at Ball Aerospace as a Facility Security Officer.She was formerly a member of the Business Professional Women of America and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her dad and sister Melinda. Barb is survived by her husband of almost 32 years, Mark Niles, two sons Joshua of Beavercreek, and Jared of Columbus, brother Kevin Roach and his wife Shawna, and their children Jonathon, Katelyn, and Tessa, sister Melody Rowland and her husband Allen, and their daughter Makenzie, mother and father-in-law Connie and Harry Niles, sisters-in-law Jennifer Hilt and her husband Jim, Kimberly Buckingham and her son Nick. Barb will be lovingly remembered for her passion for Star Trek, reading Mary Higgins Clark and Karen Kingsbury books, and her faith. Barb was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairborn and was active in the AWANA ministry. You are welcome to enjoy Reese's Cups, buckeye's and cherry pie, some of her favorites, when you attend a visitation to celebrate her life on Friday July 1st from 5-8 pm at First Baptist Church of Fairborn 1167 Highview Drive. Life celebration services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at the church with Pastor Ron Plemons officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45420 or James Cancer Center, 300 W. 10th Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43210.
