Ferguson, Beecher Eldon
Beecher was born June 11, 1922 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky to Stella (Lyons) and Henry Cecil Ferguson. He passed away Tuesday August 9, 2016 at Pristine of Sugarcreek in Bellbrook. He was 94. Beecher loved to work, loved his trade, and was employed by Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #162 before retiring in 1985. He once owned a barbershop in Troy and employed the first woman barber in 1963. Beecher loved a challenge and was passionate about teaching. He was adventurous and loved riding around on his 1950 Massey Ferguson tractor and going tent camping. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ernie, brothers Dallas and Randall, and sister Ivirs Sachs. Beecher is survived by his daughter Pam Cook (Tom) of Spring Valley, son Rick Ferguson (Sandra) of Spring Valley, son Steve Skaggs (Marty) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, four grandchildren Darin Cook (Julianne) of Spring Valley, Keilee, Ryan, and Ashlee Skaggs, all of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and sister-in-law Leatha Nell Ferguson of Sandy Hook, Kentucky. The family will receive friends Friday August 12th from 6-8 pm at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Life celebration services will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery will follow.
