Betty Ann Baldwin's Obituary
BALDWIN, Betty Ann, age 98, of Beavercreek and formerly of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Trinity Community in Beavercreek.
Betty Ann earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. She dedicated her working career to the well-being of others by working as a nurse, also at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
Sophisticated, bubbly, bright, and enthusiastic, Betty Ann was a joy to be around and loved spending time with family and friends. She was born and raised on a family farm in Brown County. It was a tradition for her to join her family for get-togethers at the farm, which she always looked forward to. In fact, family knew that the fun times were beginning when Betty showed up. Among many things, Betty will be remembered for her delicious apple pies, chocolate cake, and Christmas candy that she enjoyed making for her family during visits to the farm. After meeting her husband, Wilson, they enjoyed living in Daytona Beach, Florida, where Betty enjoyed hanging out at the pool, playing cards, walking the beach, and participating in her favorite hobbies, golf and tennis. Betty Ann was very artistic and had a genuine talent for oil painting. She gave away most of her artwork to friends and family, who will continue to cherish them. In her younger days, she was a big fan of the Cincinnati Bearcats, especially during the playing days of Oscar Robinson.
Betty Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Baldwin; her parents, Vern and Henrietta Shinkle; and several siblings.
The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 AM on Wednesday, February 26, at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at 11 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by burial and committal service in Shinkle’s Ridge Cemetery in Brown County. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, by visiting their website at ww.hsdayton.org. Condolences may be made to the family at www.connerandkoch.com.
