I was Bill and Bettys next door neighbor at their Florida condo for close to 20 years. It was always wonderful when they arrived for the season and sad when they left i'll always miss them.
I posted this on Facebook awhile back: "We finally were able to celebrate her 90 years of life! This is Betty Barlow, and we fellowshiped years ago as she watched our kids grow through VBS, children's choirs and youth Group for 7 years. Then, The Lord brought us back together, and (for the past 3 years) she mentors me and 5 other ladies as we meet bi-weekly and learn to be effective Prayer Warriors! We weep and we praise together! You are a blessing, Betty!" I will miss Betty greatly as she was such a help to David and me this past year - which was one of the toughest years of our lives! Many losses, many trials, but we knew we could count on Betty to pray! We're so thankful we connected in a more intimate way before she went to be with Jesus! I also lost my Mom this May. She and Betty were the same age. So, someday not far away I look forward to more good talks in Heaven! We will also see some souls who are there because of Betty's prayers and Godly witness! Betty and Bill traveled with our Cross America Tours bus tours for multiple times to NYC and lots of other of our trips. They were both a lot of fun to travel with! We worshipped with them for over 25 years at Kettering First Church of God. Betty was a faithful servant of God and kept Jesus as the focus of her life! I know she is surrounded by those she loved who had gone on before her. We love you Betty and we have lots of good memories of fun times spent together!
