Bonnie S. Stalter's Obituary
STALTER, Bonnie (Dieterich), of Centerville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. She was born on June 17, 1941, in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence A. Dieterich and Margaret E. (Miller) Dieterich.
Bonnie was a graduate of Kettering High School and went on to earn her degree from The Ohio State University. It was at OSU where she met the love of her life, Dr. William “Bill” Stalter. The two were married on June 23, 1962, and shared many years together until Bill’s passing in the spring of 2017.
Bonnie and Bill were longtime residents of Kettering, and built a life centered around family, faith, and meaningful traditions. Professionally, Bonnie worked in photo journaling as a Creative Memories consultant, a role that perfectly matched her love of preserving memories. She found great joy in creating photo albums filled with both new and old family photographs, while also helping others tell their stories while carefully preserving her own family’s history.
In addition to her passion for using to creating immaculate photo albums, Bonnie enjoyed journaling, cooking, and researching genealogy. She took pride in her family heritage and often referred to herself as a “daughter of the Mayflower.” Summers were frequently spent at Piatt Lake in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, while winters were enjoyed on Sanibel Island, Florida, where she loved collecting seashells and photographing nature. Bonnie also enjoyed traveling, including trips throughout Europe, and was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan, attending many games with Bill over the years.
Bonnie was a faithful member of Fairhaven Church, where her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William Stalter; her daughter, Susan Roget; and her parents. She is survived by her brother, David Dieterich; her children, Stephen (Rose) Stalter, and Brian Roget; her grandchildren, Nathalie and John Weihl, Victoria Roget, Bryce and Maggie Roget, Therese Stalter, Sylvia Stalter, Evangeline Stalter, and Emberlyn Stalter; and her great-grandchildren, Koen Weihl, Everly Weihl, and Maren Roget.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home, Bellbrook, with burial to follow at David’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie’s memory to Fairhaven Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at https://www.connerandkoch.com.
