Carl Lee Wilkinson Sr.'s Obituary
Wilkinson, Carl L., Sr., 74, of Kettering, passed away Wed. Mar. 18, 2015 at his home. He was born on Nov. 6, 1940 in Decatur, Georgia to Lora Lula (Griffith) and Elmer James Wilkinson. He served his country with honor in the Air National Guard and worked for many years as a sales representative for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation. Carl enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He also was fond of story-telling, Westerns and family geneology. He will also be lovingly remembered for wearing his Stetson cowboy hat. Carl is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; son Carl Wilkinson, Jr. (Angela) of Kettering; daughter Marlea Buckner (Wayne) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; 3 step-children, Deborah Janis, Steve Davis and Rhonda McGuire; 11 grandchildren, Kyle, Logan, Connor, Brandon, Karissa, Debi (Corey) Jamie, Tyler, Maggie, J.D., Troy and Lauren; 2 great-grandchildren, Caleb and Riley; and brother James Wilkinson Sr. (Deloris) of Canton, Georgia. The family invites you to a visitation to celebrate his life on Monday March 23 from 6-8 pm at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). We will continue Carl’s life celebration on Tuesday at 11:00 am at CONNER & KOCH with Pastor Brian Newell officiating. Burial in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
