Carole Judith Umstead (Snyder)'s Obituary
Carole J. (Snyder) Umstead passed peacefully at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren after a courageous battle with cancer. Carole's greatest joy was providing love, encouragement and a good meal to her children, grandchildren, friends, and anyone else who crossed her path. Second to this was the love of a good book and the company of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Evelyn Snyder, and the father of her children, John R. Umstead. She is survived by her five children, Jeff (Julie) Umstead, Christie (Jerry) Traufler Addison, Greg (Aimee) Umstead, Doug (Heather) Umstead, and Patrick John Umstead; 9 grandchildren Elizabeth (Jon) Doyle, Jake (Michelle) Umstead, Marie (Jared) Middleton, Scott (Cara) Traufler, Craig Traufler, Brad and Nick Umstead, Emily Edwards, and Carole Christine Umstead; 8 great-grandchildren Evan, Jack, Andrew, Ansley, Lexi, Emma, Easton, and “Baby” Middleton; and a sister Cathy (Frank) Driescharf. You are invited to Carole’s life celebration visitation Thursday Oct. 8th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Life celebration services will follow at 1:00 pm. Chaplain Cindy Feltz will officiate. Burial will be in Bellbrook Cemetery. In memory of Carole, contributions may be made to Winters Library, 57 W.
