Charles Alexander Kish's Obituary
Charles was born October 1, 1933 in Dayton. one of three children to Helen T. (Kochsis) Kish and Alexander J. Kish. After high school, he served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Charles retired from AT&T where he worked as a PBX installer. He passed away Monday September 22, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Nancy Kish, and sister Judy Denney. Charles is survived by his second wife, Patty (Lewis) Kish, two daughters Terry Gatzulis (Craig) of Bellbrook and Sandy Kauffman (Mark), also of Bellbrook, five grandchildren Mandy Wagner (Kevin), Matt Gatzulis (Shelby), Megan Gooden (Dave), Kelsey Kauffman, Emily Kauffman, three great-granddaughters Payton, Quinn and Hayden, one sister Marguerite Smith of Louisville, step-children and grandchildren. Charles' interests were fishing, woodworking and war history, especially stories about George Patton. He loved traveling, particularly cruises. Charles was a good cook and enjoyed watching the cooking channel. He was most passionate about his family especially his grandchildren. We will celebrate his life at 11:30 am Saturday September 27th at CONNER & KOCH FUNERAL HOME, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651), following a gathering of family and friends from 10-11:30 am. Jim Grushon will officiate. Burial will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
