Dale Robin Conley's Obituary
Dale R. Conley, 61, of Bellbrook, Ohio, peacefully passed away on March 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. His generosity, ingenuity, and his love of life will be remembered by all who knew him.
Born October 29, 1963, in Hicksville, Ohio, Dale was the fifth child to Charles and Mary Ann Conley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary; brother, Darrel Conley; and brother-in-law, Don Norman. Dale will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 20 years, Joyce Conley; daughter, Ashley (Grant) Morris; son, Tyler Conley; grandson, Colby Morris; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Barb Ennis; brother, David (Rita) Conley; sisters, Debbie Norman and Sandy (Roy) Cashour; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Julie Schimmer) Ennis, John (Beth Ann) Ennis, Jason Ennis and Rachel Estepp, Andy (Amy) Schmidt, Craig (Sarah) Schmidt, Doug (Angie) Schmidt; and close family friend, Teresa Manring. His many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews will miss him dearly. He will be mourned by his friends and golf buddies at the Dabel Eagles Aerie #3031. And his dogs Jojo and Walter are waiting in the window for him to come home.
A proud graduate of Patterson Co-Op, Dale was a toolmaker and engineer all his life. He spent many years working for Dayton Reliable Tool before joining Dayton Systems Group, where he designed and patented the reclosable Cap-Can container system. You can find Dale's handiwork in any grocery store or gas station.
Dale was a loving father who was deeply proud of his children, making many memories on family camping trips to Long's Retreat and vacations to Myrtle Beach. His greatest joy in life was his family, generously giving his time and effort to help them whenever and wherever he could.
Dale played on many softball teams and bowling leagues, but his favorite sport was golf. On the course and in life, his diligence, patience, and work ethic were valued assets to him, and he always strove to be better than he was the day before. He was warm and inviting and knew no stranger. A well-traveled man, Dale said he found kindness no matter where he was in the world.
A celebration of Dale's life will be held at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Visitation begins at 9 am, with a memorial service at 11 am. Please bring your favorite memory or story of Dale and join the family for a reception at Marion's Piazza in Centerville directly following the memorial.
