David R. Price's Obituary
PRICE, David R., age 81, of Centerville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
David honorably served in the United States Army before beginning his career with Appleton Papers. As an electrician in the maintenance department, he dedicated 20-plus years of faithful service before retiring. David had a lifelong passion for classic automobiles, especially his treasured 1929 Ford and 1932 Ford. A true tinkerer at heart, there wasn't much he couldn't fix. He enjoyed restoring and repairing just about anything, especially lawn mowers, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. On occasion, he would stop by a casino with his family to test his luck at the slot machines. More than anything, David loved his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, especially his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy. He will be remembered as an amazing man whose stubborn determination was balanced by his loving heart and generous spirit. His kindness, wisdom, and willingness to help others leave a lasting legacy that will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Zelma Price, and his 11 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marie Price; his daughter, Penny (Eric) Watercutter; his stepson, Dusty (Elly) Russell; and his five cherished grandchildren, Baylee Watercutter, Joel Russell, Kara Russell, Devan Russell, and Samantha Russell. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. Dale McCloud will be officiating. Burial will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 11 am -1 pm on Monday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or VITAS Healthcare.
