David Eugene Strehle's Obituary
Strehle, David E., 83, of Bellbrook passed away on Sept. 3, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born Jan. 30, 1931 in Dayton to Max and Lydia (Morgan) Strehle. David worked for 42 years as a Tool & Die Maker at General Motors Harrison Radiator Plant and retired in 1992. He served honorable in the Navy during the Korean War. David was a life-long member of St. Francis of Assisi church. He was a fun loving jokester and an avid golfer. He also was a boxer and fought in the Golden Gloves. David was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dolores, in 2006, son Dan in 2007 and brother James in 2014. He is survived by his sons Gene (wife Reine) of Beavercreek, Dean of Kansas City, MO, and David (wife Sharon) of Beavercreek, daughter Diane (husband James) Ashworth of Xenia, daughter-in-law Lisa Strehle of Springboro, 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother Dick of Florida and sister Maxine Ankeny of Dayton. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 5-8 pm at Conner and Koch Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wed. Sept. 10 at St. Francis of Assisi Church (Wilmington Pike, Centerville). Father Tom Schmidt officiating. Burial at Bellbrook Cemetery.
