Green, (Shirley) Diana Hudson
Diana was born Feb. 10, 1939 in Coldwater, Ohio to Edna Elizabeth (Dicke) and Vincent Guy Hudson. After graduating high school, she attended Miami Valley School of Nursing where she became a registered nurse. Diana lived out her caring personality at Miami Valley Hospital where she worked for many years before retiring. She was interested in art, pottery, drawing, antiques and musicals. Diana enjoyed reading and traveling especially learning about some of her favorite places to visit like Australia, Hawaii, Japan, Gatlinburg and various Civil War locations. She loved going to movies and other activities with her grandsons. Diana was a member of Spring Valley United Methodist Church, the Rainbow Girls, Red Hat Society and the Girl Scouts. She passed away Sun. Jan. 18, 2015 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Lawrence Edwinn Green. Diana is survived by one daughter, Nikole Barrett (Tony) of Spring Valley; one son, Erik Green (Suzy) of Painesville; five grandsons, Evan, Logan, Gabriel, Declan and Roland; two sisters Kaye Pittman of Williamsburg, Virginia, Marlene Obenour (Grayden) of Auburn, Indiana; and aunt Marjorie Silvers of St. Mary’s. A visitation with family and friends will be Friday Jan. 23rd from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Diana’s life celebration will follow at 1:00 pm with Dar Hensley of Spring Valley U.M.C. officiating. Burial in Spring Valley Cemetery. In memory of Diana, contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley or Spring Valley United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available at CONNER & KOCH.
