Geneva Elizabeth Edgington (Bond)'s Obituary
Edgington, Geneva Elizabeth, age 105, of Bellbrook, passed away Friday, October 12th, 2018 in Waynesville at Quaker Heights Care Community. She lived an exceedingly full life, dedicated to her family, her church, and her community.
She was born January 30th, 1913 to Russie Bond (Clark) and George "Homer" Bond. She was a star on her varsity women's basketball team at Bellbrook High School, where she graduated in 1931. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening. Every Sunday morning she took flowers from her garden with her to church, where she also taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Singing was only a small part of her musical ability as she could also play the piano, the organ, and the violin. She also loved to travel, from road tripping to all four corners of the United States and all the capital buildings to log cabins in the upper peninsula of Michigan and trips to Myrtle beach, she enjoyed the time with her family. For many years she was a correspondent for the Xenia Gazette collecting community stories and writing about recent engagements and births. She was gifted in many ways, but she always used her abilities for others. She taught many of the girls in her family how to cook and sew, and she made afghans and Christmas ornaments for all the kids. She was a wonderful woman, and she will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Andrew C. Edgington, and granddaughter Laura Beth Hopping.
Geneva is survived by daughter Alice L. Hopping (Donald), son George E. Edgington (Phyllis), grandchildren Chip Edgington, Lisa Norton, Andrea Ramke, Shan Edgington, Tamra Pruitt, and great-granchildren Chad Edgington, Cody Edgington, Christina Edgington, Laura Smith, Luke Norton, Rachel Webb, River Ramke, Brandon Ramke, Addilyne Ramke, Nia Bramble, Tori Bramble, Chase Bramble, Ella Pruitt, and great-great-granchildren Ava, Noah and Liam Webb, and Madison and Annastasia Smith.

Franklin, Bellbrook, OH 45305) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, October 19th, 2018. Life Celebration Services will be held following the visitation. Burial will be held at Bellbrook Cemetery.
