Florence Margaret Cifelli (Albans)'s Obituary
CIFELLI, Florence M.
90, of Bellbrook, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 30, 2015 at her home. She was born Nov. 13, 1924 in Bayonne, New Jersey to Margaret Gray (Eayre) and Thomas Anthony Albans. Florence was a graduate of Orange Memorial Nursing School where she earned a degree as a registered nurse. She was trained at John’s Hopkins in Maryland and Mt. Sinai in New York. During WWII, she used her nursing skills to serve her country in the Womens Army Auxillary Corps. Florence was formerly a member of the Osceola Presbyterian Church in Clark, New Jersey, where she attended and enjoyed Bible studies; and most recently attended Bellbrook United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteered with the Rainbow Girls. Florence enjoyed knitting, reading while riding her stationary bike, and walking, but most of all, she was passionate about her kids and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of more than 60 years, George Cifelli (Jan. 1, 2011), and brothers Thomas, William and Donald Albans. Florence is survived by her sons George Cifelli, Jr. (Kayla), Donald Cifelli (Brenda); daughter Carolyn Watterworth (Randy); four grandchildren Donald, Emily, Megan and Thomas; and one great-granddaughter Margaret. You are invited to Florence’s life celebration service 10:00 am on Friday July 3, 2015 at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Rev. Darryl Fairchild officiating. She will be buried next to her husband at Dayton National Cemetery. There will be a friends and family open house on Sunday July 12th from 2-5 pm at the Watterworth’s home, 800 McBee Rd., Bellbrook.
