Gail R. Fankell (Fultz)'s Obituary
Fankell, Gail R. (Fultz), 68 of West Carrollton, passed away on November 15, 2014 after a battle with lung cancer. She was born on January 9, 1946 in Middletown, Ohio to James Green and Rose Mae Fultz (Cain). Gail was a Teacher’s Aide for Middletown City Schools for 14 years working with behavioral and physically handicapped children. She enjoyed doing arts & crafts, her dogs Zoe and Piper, art and the theater. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. Gail also loved spending time at Del Ray Beach in Destin, FL, going on cruises and traveling to the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg. Gail was predeceased by her parents and a brother. She is survived by her husband, Gary of 26 years, her daughters Renee (Richard) Oldham, Gretchen Leahy, and Gina Short, her grandchildren Maria, Trey, Barrett, Olivia, sister Lanor Carter and special family friend, Heather Hall. The family will receive friends from 11:00-2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Towne Blvd. Church of God, 3722 Towne Blvd, Middletown, OH 45005. Her Life Celebration will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mitchell Birch and Rev. Joseph Hall officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 8069 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, OH 45458. Arrangements are being handled by Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home, Bellbrook, OH.
