Hopkins, Gayle A.
71, of Xenia, passed away Friday Dec. 25, 2015 at her home. She was born Aug. 3, 1944 in Dayton to Opal Mae (Rawlings) and Cecil David Maupin. She loved her family, animals and fishing. Among some of her other interests are decorating and painting, flower arranging and gardening, and cooking. Gayle’s family will always think of her as the world’s greatest wife, mom, and grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Babe Penick. Gayle is survived by her husband of 49 ½ years, Brian “Carl” Hopkins, two daughters Kassandra Hopkins Kaiser Bahr (David), and Kristine Hopkins, three grandchildren Ethan David (Sarah), Joshua Brian, and Kaitlin Elizabeth Kaiser. Life celebration services will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday Dec. 29th at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
