Larry Janicki
George and I have a bit of a history since it has been almost 70 years since he accepted the responsibility to be my godfather. His obituary documents well his love of golfing, the outdoors, his yard and his garden. It seems to me to be appropriate to plant a tree in his memory. As an ornery jokester he might wish it to be planted along some fairway to be a challenge to his fellow golfers but I doubt that the American Forests Organization will consider golf courses to be areas of greatest need. George reached out to me during many of the important moments in my life for which I will be always grateful. Distance was a barrier to a very close relationship but I will remember him fondly. My condolences to my cousins and their families during this time of sorrow.
