Glenn H. Hunt's Obituary
A devoted husband, dad, and papaw, Glenn H. Hunt, age 90, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022.
Glenn was born October 20th, 1931 to Mary Hunt Wright (Abbott) and Albert Hunt. After high school, Glenn started his college courses at Bowling Green, but answered a call to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was unable to finish. During his time in the Navy as a radio mechanic 2nd class, he was stationed on the amphibious force flagship, the USS Eldorado. He was later employed as a Senior Systems Analyst for NCR where he worked for over 40 years.
Glenn was an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time at his golf community in Tennessee. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Levadis, and together they went to Honduras, Germany, and many places stateside as well. Glenn had a beautiful baritone voice, and loved to "make a joyful noise" in praise to his Savior, Jesus. He loved big, symphonic music, and orchestral sounds, and was both grateful and honored to have sang "He Touched Me" with Bill Gaither. He was very involved at church, first at Marshall Road Church of God, and then later at Fairhaven Church. Glenn was incredibly loyal, fairly opinionated, a touch ornery, and will be remembered most of all for his big, giant heart.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Hunt and Mary Hunt Wright, sister Jean Powell, brother Marvin Hunt, and grandson Justin Tanger.
Glenn is survived by his beloved wife Levadis Hunt, children Gordon (Joan) Hunt, Kim Hunt, Gary (Debbie) Hunt, Cheryl (Tom) Warner, Trish (Jim) Tanger, grandchildren Jessica (Matt) Bozzuto, Andrew (Cara) Hunt, Clayton (Kirsten) Hunt, Mandy (Broc) Stumpff, Rebekah Dolio, Shannon Guy, Nicole Hunt, Erica (Evan) Chandler, Christopher (Breely) Bush, Tamie Turner, Nicholas Norman, Angela Warner, Tiffany (Daniel) Williams, Evan Tanger, 34 great-grandchildren and another on the way, sister-in-law Hilda Hunt, and many other beloved family members and friends.
