I am so sorry to hear of Harry's passing. I have many fond memories of Harry from our mutual commitment to franchising along with third musketeer Steve Beagleman. We did many trade shows together, each representing competing franchises. Harry, always being efficient and on-time, would often stand in his impeccably assembled booth smiling while watching me scurry around trying to get my booth together in time for opening, Inevitably, when he saw I would not make it he would come over and help me finish by opening time. Even though those days were in the late 90s, I remember them vividly. I will miss Harry very much, but am comforted to know he is making a positive impact in Heaven as he did here on earth.Delanie Patrick
So shocked to hear of Harry's passing, he was such a beacon of light in the franchise community. We meet 20+ years ago at a franchise convention and I looked forward to seeing him every year. My deepest sympathy's to his family, this is a deep loss for all.Dr. Ben Litalien, CFEFranchise Well Consulting
So sorry to hear of Harry’s untimely passing. He had a great impact on his Linwood NJ community and he, Barbara and their great kids were missed when they moved. May his memory serve to comfort the family. Jill and Charlie Ojserkis
I am still in shock and having trouble digesting that he is gone. Harry, Barbara and I go back a long time. We met in the early 70’s at a camera store buying group meeting in North Jersey. They were there as the owners of Corral Camera in Northfield, NJ. I was there after just taking over my Dad’s camera shop in Bayonne, NJ. We quickly realized that everyone else in the group was at least 20 years older than us. We gravitated toward each other, feeling quite intimidated by the old “pros” in the group. Those monthly meetings, along with attending annual industry trade shows together, began a friendship that had lasted over 45 years. We had some great times together. One memorable trip was to a Photo Expo in London in 1995. My wife, Debby, Barbara, Harry and I had a blast, going to plays and concerts every night. Then there was a photo convention in Chicago that Harry decided that we and another mutual friend, Mike should fly out in Mike’s single engine Cessna. They both were pilots. Along the way there was engine trouble and we had to touch down at a small airport to get it repaired. We made it to Chicago but I decided to take a commercial flight back to NJ. :) Even though our business styles were very different, we had a mutual respect of each other. At one point, when I decided to become the Northern NJ area representative for Moto Photo, it piqued his interest. Together we flew out to Dayton, Ohio just for him to see the company and get some ideas for his photo lab he was about to add to his camera shop. A few hours later, in a closed-door meeting, Harry struck a deal to open the first Moto Photo in South Jersey and to be their area representative for Central and South Jersey, NY and PA! Years later he would move to Dayton to take over the Moto Photo company. We would always joke that he had me to thank or to blame that I got him involved in Moto Photo. :)I watched Harry hone his skills as a businessman. His knowledge of finances and business law were unparalleled. He applied those skills in his various ventures and guided many people in their life decisions. Whenever I had a business issue, he made time for me. We would meet sometimes for hours as well as numerous phone calls and emails. His help was not just with the numbers but with his insight of what would be best for me and my family. When he needed a sounding board to bounce ideas off, he would value my “devil’s advocate” opinion about his plans but I felt in no way could I ever return the favor of his time and advice he gave me - but I don’t think that mattered to him. He truly just wanted to help.As much as he loved business and problem solving, his love of Barbara, his children and grandchildren was paramount. My heart goes out to them and the others that he touched. Rest in peace, my dear friend Harry.(the image is a chart by Harry at one of our meetings)
Harry was one of my closest friends, business partners and we considered him part of our family. I have known him for over 30 years since I was a young kid in franchising and I couldn't ask for a better mentor and friend. Thank you for all the great years of your leadership and direction. Our team at SMB is also forever grateful for your guidance and insight. I was very lucky to have such a good friend. Harry will be forever missed. Our condolences to the entire Loyle family.
