Hazel Bernice Wynn (Brewster)'s Obituary
Wynn, Hazel B.
87, of Heartland of Centerville, formerly of Beavercreek, passed away Friday December 26, 2014. She was born October 7, 1927 in Dayton to Florence Shirley (Pierce) and Frederick Brewster and grew up in the Drexel area. Hazel was an avid Reds fan. She enjoyed watching them on TV while listening to Marty and Joe on the radio. Hazel was fond of chickens and collected items that had chickens on them. She liked working on jig saw and crossword puzzles, and reading romance novels. Hazel was a “people person” and enjoyed activities she could share with others like dancing and playing BINGO at the Kettering Rec Center. She will also be remembered for her love of country music and Nashville, but especially, for her love of her grandkids. Before retiring, Hazel worked at Elder Beerman as a retail supervisor. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Donna “Peachie” Shouse, three sisters and two brothers. Hazel is survived by two daughters Marsha Hedgecoth and Robin Carroll (Tim), six grandchildren Mike, Scotty, Robbie, Tony, Kristy and Timmy, several great-grandchildren, and two sisters Shirley Hickle and Dorothy Comer. As family and friends gather Tuesday December 30th from 12-1 pm at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 West Franklin St., Bellbrook, you are invited to wear your Reds gear and work a jig saw or crossword puzzle in memory of Hazel. A life celebration will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Brian Koch officiating. The burial will be at Dayton Memorial Park.
