Helen May Blatt's Obituary
Helen May Blatt, age 102, passed away Thursday, December 23rd, 2021.
She was born June 9th, 1919 in Newport, Kentucky to Vinna (Wisbey) and Edward Blatt. For many years, she worked as a Beautician for Rike's Beauty Salon.
Helen attended and was an active member at Fairhaven Church. She was very talented at needlework, crocheting, and embroidery, and made many clothes and quilts. She had a photography hobby and enjoyed taking pictures of the scenery as she traveled on vacations and through life. She also enjoyed collecting thimbles.
She was preceded in death by her her parents; and brother, Harold Blatt. Helen is survived by her three nieces, Bonnie Lauer (Vernon) of Houston, Texas; Rita Chandley (Lynn) of Columbus, Georgia; Jerrie Sloan of Clayton; one nephew, Greg Blatt (Melody) of Sugarcreek Twp.; five great nieces and nephews, Scott Lauer (Kim); Terri Martin (Tim); Lisa Dasinger (Shane); Tyler Blatt (Heather); Brandon Blatt; and eight great-great nieces and nephews.
To help the family celebrate her life, you are invited to share memories when we celebrate her life at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook, as Pastor Jim Futrell will officiate.
