Williams, James C. “Jim”
Jim was born Dec. 22, 1934 in Middletown to Mabel (Long) and Bennett Williams. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Air Force. Jim met Barbara Roberts and they married on June 30, 1955. Jim was a skilled plumber and retired from J. Williams & Sons Plumbing, Waynesville, where he was the owner and President since 1986. Jim was a member of the Waynesville Chamber of Commerce and the Home Builders Association of Dayton. When he was younger, Jim enjoyed racing cars and became an avid NASCAR fan. He loved fishing, especially at Dale Hollow Lake where he and his family have a cabin. Jim passed away Sunday March 1, 2015 at Walnut Creek at the age of 80. Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara of Kettering; son Kirk of Waynesville; Paula Buntin (Danny) of Muncie, Indiana; son Kent (Lorraine) of Monroe; four grandchildren Brent Williams, Erin Williams, Kory Buntin, and Jakob Williams; brother Jerry Williams (Naomi) of Bellbrook; two half-brothers, one half-sister, one step-brother, one step-sister, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jim’s life Thursday March 5th from 6-8 pm at CONNER & KOCH Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). You are encouraged to bring a fishing lure to be given to the family. A life celebration service will be held 1:00 pm Friday March 6th at CONNER & KOCH. Burial will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery.
