Jim & Carol were near and dear to our family while I served as Pastor at Resurrection Ev.. Lutheran Church (1983-1988). Jim was faithful and active at Resurrection. He was a handy man for us at the church and at the parsonage. He bought us a bedroom light/fan that he installed in the parsonage that we took with us and still remains in the parsonage Gloria Dei Ev. Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc, MI. He and Carol were always ready to play cards with Kay & me - of course, the men always won. After leaving Centerville, we kept in touch with visits and phone calls. Jim will be missed but not forgotten. Thanks to Christ Jesus we will be reunited at the resurrection for he has promised that whoever believes in him has eternal life. By God's amazing grace, Jim believed. To God be the glory!

We will miss Jim very much. We have been friends of Jim and Carol when we were members of Resurrection in the 80's and 90's when we lived in Centerville, Ohio before being transfered to Louisville, KY. for over 30 years. They visted us while we lived in KY. and our youngest son and family live in Bearvercreek and so we viisited Jim and Carol when we would visit our son. We are now back in Centerville in a senior living place and have visited Jim and Carol in their senior living place. But, not recently as our health is failing. We hope to be at the service on the 5th. So happy Jim is with our Lord, and we will see him again. Carol and family are in our prayers. Much love to all.

Jim was one of my most favorite people! He was so patient, sincere, and humble.
He and Carol welcomed us for 5 1/2 years while we were down in Centerville! We made many memories together! (And then they came up and visited us in Michigan, too!)
It’s hard to think about him not being around. But I know he was ready to see his Savior; and we WILL have a glorious reunion at the banquet table, with Jesus!
I know life was hard on him the last few years; that makes me so sad. And I’m so sorry for your pain! Please give Carol a big hug from us. Love your family!

We have been long time friends of Jim and his wife Carol. If they weren't at our home playing cards we were at theirs. Both of them enjoyed playing country music on their CD player.
