James "Denny" Roesser's Obituary
ROESSER, James “Denny”, age 84, of Centerville, OH and formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elisa (nee Paolucci); son, John (Peggy) Roesser; daughter, Carrie (Troy) Ford; three grandchildren, Jessica Ford, Jayden Ford, and Joseph Roesser; one brother, Robert “Bob” (Pat) Roesser; two sisters, Linda Grant and Nancy Denecke; and several nieces and nephews. Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Roesser, step mother Eleanor Roesser and two brothers-in-law, Raymond Grant and George Denecke.
Caring, generous, fun-loving, and quick witted, Denny was said to have a smile that lit up the room. He loved being outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing, usually with his best friend John “Spike” Boyle. Denny became passionate about his hobbies which also included wine making, computers and later in life cooking. He loved learning as much as he could about his interests and also loved sharing his knowledge with others.
Among many things, Denny will be remembered for his strong faith in God and his dedication and commitment to his church. He was an active parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Springbrook, NY for many years and instilled in his children the importance of trusting in Jesus.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM to Noon on Monday, November, 10, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Centerville. Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow the visitation at Noon on Monday at the church, with Father Brian Phelps officiating the mass. Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook is serving the family. If desired, contributions in Denny’s memory may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
