Janet Jones Ross (Jones)'s Obituary
Janet Ross, formerly of Bellbrook, passed away on September 22 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on April 7, 1925 to Merle and Ada Jones in Caesarcreek Twp. in Greene County. Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, John "Jack" Ross in March of this year. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Karl) Valentine, Jeanne Ross, and Tina (Dave) Merkamp; her grandchildren Amery (Branden) South, Alan (Louise) Steele, John (Victoria) Valentine, and Jill Valentine; and great-grandsons, Jackson, Ross, Patton, Jack and Matthew. Janet grew up in Cedarville and moved to Mason in high school, where she met Jack, her partner for life. She was a graduate of Wilmington College. Janet taught for 25 years at Bellbrook Elementary School and is remembered for her kind and loving patience. A private memorial service is planned for the family.
