Jeanette was born in Great Falls, South Carolina to Brooks and Ruth Rimes on November 25, 1931. She worked in a small café in Savannah, Georgia where she met the love of her life, Ralph. They were married January 12, 1956 and were fortunate to have 48 years together. Jeanette was an accomplished domestic engineer. She dazzled many with a casserole dish, sweet treats or abundant "leftovers" to share. She enjoyed her family and especially Sunday dinners after church. She was a great resource of scriptural knowledge and freely shared her thoughts and opinions. She gained pleasure from a good book and has quite the library of reading materials.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her mother and father, her brother Thomas and sisters Ronella, Stella, Ethel, Maggie and Minnie. She is survived by her three children, Karan (Jack) Wheeler of Fishers, Indiana, two grandchildren Chelsea and Tyler; Kathy (Ron) Paulick of Fairborn, three grandchildren Jamie Moore, with two great grandchildren Jake and Savannah; Erin (Christian) Holfinger, with great grandson Anthony; and Kristen (BiBi) Leang with great granddaughter Georgianna; Casey Hall of Enon, Ohio, two grandsons Austin and Riley along with many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend our gratitude to Kettering Medical Center, Hospice of Dayton and to her loving and prayerful physicians for their care and support thru her illness and final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to mom’s favorite charities, Smile Train at www.SmileTrain.org, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Samaritan’s Purse, or Hospice of Dayton.
