Jenny C. Musin's Obituary
MUSIN, Jenny C., age 78, of Dayton and formerly of Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Jenny lived a simple and family-centered life, and nothing meant more to her than her children and grandchildren. She was known for her gentle, easygoing nature, her loving, caring heart, and the friendly, content spirit she carried everywhere she went. Her faith was an important part of who she was and shaped how she treated others.
In her free time, Jenny enjoyed the comforts of home, especially cooking for those she loved. She was well known for her fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and gravy, her sausage gravy and biscuits, her cherry pie, and her no-bake cookies. She had a special appreciation for Pioneer Woman cookware, which she enjoyed using and collecting. She enjoyed spending quiet time watching her favorite shows, including Little House on the Prairie and classic westerns, as well as her favorite cooking shows on the Food Network cooking programs. She appreciated collecting small keepsakes and having a sweet spot for M&M’s. Jenny also had a playful love for collecting Happy Meal toys from McDonald’s, saving each one as a cheerful little keepsake that always made her smile. In addition, she also collected M&M’s and memorabilia related to her favorite candy. All these familiar comforts and routines brightened her days, but her greatest happiness always came from the time she spent with her family. Among many things, Jenny will be remembered for her deep devotion to her faith, her steady kindness, her warm presence, and the sense of comfort she brought to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Cocklin; her daughter, Kimberly Knapp; and her brother, Ed Fite. She is survived by her daughter, Kendra Sholler (Joey Harnish); two grandchildren, Destiny Kerchner (Jason Hooper) and Matthew (Nelly) Knapp; her bonus granddaughter, Tessa Kennedy; two brothers, Ralph (Nancy) Fite and Rodney Fite; one sister, Elinda (Shelby) Merrill; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Conner and Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. Condolences at https://www.connerandkoch.com.
