Jerry L. Pauley's Obituary
Jerry Lee Pauley, age 61, of Jamestown, passed away on Friday, June 2nd, 2023. Jerry was born on April 14th,1962 to Ralph and Madeline (Price) Pauley.
Jerry was very proud of his work as the Director of Operations for Glimcher Realty Trust, where he held a position for over 20 years. He was able to travel often for work, helping on other mall projects, like Polaris, in addition to managing and contracting restaurants and businesses for the Fairfield Commons Mall. He also enjoyed working at home and in the yard, which he called "piddlin."
Jerry was an enormous sports fan. He spent many weekends and game days watching the Bengals and the Buckeyes from his converted garage sports bar. He volunteered as a football coach for the Greeneview Rams and as a basketball coach for the Demolay Boys Team. He was a Mason and a Shriner, and he attended church at the South Charleston Christian Center. Jerry loved big, tasty, and unique cheeseburgers, the yearly Daytona Beach trip, and the old country music of George Jones. He was a loving and kind family man who was always smiling, goofy, and adventurous. He leaves a large hole in the hearts of those who loved him most.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Madeline Pauley, father-in-law and mother-in-law Leonard and Elois Smith, and grandmother Nellie Stringer. Jerry is survived by his wife, Jill Pauley, son Jordain Pauley, daughter-in-love Erin Pauley, and sister-in-law Shirley McCarty (Rick).
