John Joseph Siva's Obituary
John Joseph Siva, age 82, of Bellbrook, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 after a lengthy and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born in Campbell, Ohio to the late Mary (Zinchak) and John "Jan" Siva. John Graduated from Memorial High School Campbell, Ohio, then went into the US Navy on the “Kiddie” cruise, serving aboard the USS-Taconic ACC-17 as an Electronics Technician Third Class. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he worked for Ohio Bell Telephone, ITT Service, White Alice Project, Granite Mountain, Alaska, RCA Cambridge, Ohio and retired from NCR. John enjoyed cooking and was often in the kitchen making his favorite Slovak dishes, or forming up loaves of bread. John enjoyed traveling, perch and walleye fishing, dancing, playing cards, and just relaxing in his “chair”
John was preceded in death by his wife Mary, son Philip and sister Mary (Edward) Gavalier. John is survived by his children John Siva, Rick Siva, Becky Siva, Greg (Tammy) Siva, Mary (John) Orr and grandchildren Ben, Andy, TJ, Dalton and Catherine.
To help the family celebrate his life, you are invited to share during his visitation at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St. Bellbrook, OH 45305 Monday April 22, 2019 from 5 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45459 at 10:30 am with burial to follow at Bellbrook Cemetery.
