John Gregory Steiner's Obituary
A man of adventure, compassion, and loyalty, John Gregory Steiner, age 63, of Germantown, passed away Wednesday, August 18th, 2021.
John was born on March 14th, 1958 and adopted by his parents, Augletia Steiner (Harness) and John Steiner. One of the most important seasons of John's life took place in the fall of 1979 when he came to know the Lord and was baptized a month before he married Pamela. John was endlessly proud of both his faith and his wife, and was never afraid to tell others about the faithfulness of Jesus Christ, who always sent "A God Wink" to help him through tough times.
John worked for 40 years in Audiovisual and Music technology, something he was was very passionate about. His career started when he was working at Ace Music and continued when he did years of freelance work for many of the area churches and eventually ended up working at Audio Etc. in Dayton. John was known for being a perfectionist in his work, coming back to a job as many times as necessary until everything was functioning optimally.
As an adventurous person that loved to try new things, John had many hobbies. He enjoyed golf, going to concerts, motorcycles, pinball machines, hiking, camping, and eating, especially his favorites, seafood and ice cream. John loved to play with his grandkids and took every opportunity to teach them new things. John made friends everywhere he went, owing to his genuine soul and love of talking, and once you were a friend of Johns he was loyal to the end. He will be missed by so many.
John is survived by his wife, Pamela Steiner, children, Dawn Renee Caraveo (Jose), John Michael Steiner (Brocklyn), Vanessa Marie Ratcliff (Dominic), Amanda Lynn Steiner, and James Matthew Steiner, 6 grandchildren Declynn Ratcliff, Morgan Steiner, Haddon Steiner, Ira Ratcliff, Janie Steiner, and Katelyn Steiner, cousin Scott Meader (Judy), and many, many close friends.
