Johnny Buell's Obituary
BUELL, Johnny, age 76, of Bellbrook, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Ft. Walton-Destin Hospital in Florida.
John honorably served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. He retired in 1995 as a cable tech for AT&T after 30 years of dedicated service to the company. John was a member of the Kettering American Legion Post 598.
Hard-working, caring, loving, giving, helpful, and outgoing, John was a proud family man. Especially during his younger days, he greatly enjoyed playing golf. He played in a men’s golf league at Sugar Valley Country Club for many years. Since his retirement in 1995, he has spent his winters in various parts of Florida every year. However, for the past 10 years or so, Destin has been his wintertime home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Jr. and Ida Buell. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Janet; one son, Nicholas Buell; and one brother, Jerry Buell.
The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Friday, February 2, at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Funeral Home in Bellbrook. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the service at 6 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Celebrant Brian Bennett will be officiating the service. Condolences at www.connerandkoch.com.
