Joseph Michael Jraisat's Obituary
A loving father and friend to all, Farouq Michael Jraisat, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Dayton, Ohio. He was 74 years old.
Farouq, “Frankie” to his family, was born on October 23, 1947 to Michael and Farida Jraisat in his beloved village of Fuheis, Jordan. His accomplishments started early in life and included becoming an engineer and continued as he became a community leader as the Mayor of Fuheis.
However, Farouq’s greatest accomplishment was his family. Farouq’s family was his life. He lived for them and loved them infinitely. His love, guidance, and dedication as a husband, father, and grandfather are irreplaceable.
Frankie was the epitome of class, a true gentleman, and a man of great integrity. Farouq, the patriarch of his family and community, was a role model to many, both young and old. He was as generous with his time as he was with his resources to anyone and everyone who needed it. He never spoke of his abundant sacrifices for his family and friends but they will never be forgotten. He has left behind a legacy that will be shared with many generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his dad Michael Jraisat, and brother Fawaz Jraisat.
Farouq is survived by his wife Laila Jraisat, mother Farida Jraisat, son Michael Jraisat and daughter-in-law Lauren and their daughter Gianna, daughter Maha Jraisat and her daughters Celina and Reyanne, daughter Marina Musa and son-in- law Phillip Musa, brother Foad Jraisat and his daughter Anna, brother Fayez Jraisat and sister-in-law Manal Jraisat and their son and daughter Tareq and Ghadir, sister Fayzeh Shteiwi and brother-in-law Khalil Shteiwi and their sons Arwa and Amir, brother Fozi Jraisat and his sons Zaid and Saif, and niece Samantha.
To help the family celebrate his life, you are invited to his visitation at St. Ignatius of Antioch, Maronite Catholic Church, 50 Nutt Rd. in Washington Twp. on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 12:00 pm with burial at Davids Cemetery.
