You will be severely missed by your family and friends. You are a hero to me because of the way that you lived and the man you became. You lived your life honestly, compassionately, selflessly, humbly, and heroically. You served and loved God and you served and loved others. Your legacy will live on with us: your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. You raised the benchmark for all of us. You sacrificed in so many ways so that we could live better lives. Although, we never met your Dad, we know from all of the heartfelt messages sent from friends and family, that he was a good man. I now know that you got your devotion and love for the blessed mother from your father. Was a wonderful gift from a father to his children. Peggy and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your father, Joe passing. I remember sitting with your Mom and Dad after your Mother's stroke. They were so kind and funny. Your Dad and I had long chats and before I knew it, it was time for me to leave. He was so smart and knowledgeable. I remember him saying with a large family you have problems but the many blessings and joy they bring is what really counted. I had a good time with them and they taught me a lot about perseverance. I know he will be sorely missed. I lost my Dad this year and know the large emptiness left in your heart but take comfort in knowing that they are happy and healthy and smiling down upon you from Heaven. Many blessings.

WE ARE VERY SAD TO HEAR OF JOE'S DEATH. HE WAS A VERY SPECIAL FRIEND FROM MANY YEARS AGO.EVEN THOUGH WE LIVED OUT OF STATE FOR MANY YEARS, WE JUST RECENTLY MET AGAIN WHEN JOE VISITED THE WAKE OF ONE OF OUR RELATIVES. Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your father, grandfather, brother and friend. We had a family member at St. Leonard's the same time that Bonnie was there and witnessed Joe's devotion to her and other residents. He was always kind and prayed for all our intentions. He also volunteered after Bonnie's passing with the rest of us who stay to help the residents get to Mass and the rosary daily. He will be in our prayers as will his family and friends.
