Laura Skotko

Laura Skotko, wife of John for 49 years, has been requested by the Lord to return to Him and leave her earthly duties behind. She will bring both her loving skills and her precious gift of fostering joy in others to her spiritual home. Laura passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at age 72 and was the joyful parent of two very special children, Kim and Brad, two super awesome grandkids, Sydney and Nathan, three “wonderfully perfect” grand-kittens, Cherish, Dominic and Rogue as well as the most loving and faithful grand-dog on planet earth, Marcus. Laura’s mission in life was centered around bringing joy and happiness to both her family and the numerous charitable organizations that she supported such as the Adopt-a-Family program sponsored by the Kettering Fire Department, Brigid’s Path, SICSA, the Family Violence Prevention Center of Greene County as well as countless others. She was born in Fresno, California on September 3, 1949 to her parents Claire (Kidd) Elliott and Ramsey Elliott (both now deceased) and is survived by her younger brother, Larry, of Sacramento, California. To help the family celebrate her life, you are invited to share in a service and gathering on December 11, 2021 at 2:00pm at Conner and Koch Life Celebration Home (92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook, Ohio 45305). To honor her love and support of all things “sports minded," especially the Ohio State Buckeyes, you are encouraged to wear any sports apparel to the celebration service!! In lieu of flowers we would like to request that donations be made to any of the above listed charitable organizations.
