I am sad to read this. She was my big sister from the big brothers and sisters program. She always called me her Lil' Pumpkin. I always missed her after she left Spokane. I think of her every time I watch Mary Poppins and every leap year.
Leslie was an important part of our KC-46 Team. She was so proud to be a part of the Air Force's most important project. She was also a friend who will be dearly missed. Through all of her tribulations she always managed a smile and always asked how we felt. I know she was looking forward to working on her Six Sigma Green Belt before she was called home. In the tradition of our program, we will honor Leslie as the fifth star on our patch that signifies the passing of a friend and hero. As the ancient Hebrew prayer goes "Schma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echod" "The Lord is God The Lord is One." God bless you Leslie and we will all miss you until we meet again.

My sweet Leslie! Leslie was a bright, BRIGHT shining star. She was talented beyond belief, smart, funny, sarcastic, and the best kind of goofy! She was also one of the most giving people ever.
So much of my youth was spent with Leslie. So many memories are wrapped up with the Zara family.
My time with you Lois, with Gene and Leslie taught me how to be whimsical, how to appreciate myself, how to be self-assured.....how to try to laugh at everything.
I regret having lost touch with Lesile so much, but our families have always been, ad always will be connected in that weird wonderful way that cannot be explained, but only felt deeply.
I am so sorry for your loss, our loss, the world's loss of Leslie.

There are some fond memories of being a fellow Liberty Belle on the Carroll High School drill team with Leslie. We marched side by side on several occasions. We shared quite a few good conversations together. Sad to hear this news. Condolences go out to her mother.
This is indeed very sad news. My prayers and condolences to Leslie's mother, and family. She was a lovely and kind person, she was a beautiful Patriot.

I met Leslie years ago when we were sewing on Wright Brother airplanes at the Boonshoft museum.Leslie was a energenic beautiful light in my world. Always looking for the good in everything. She was an honest and true friend. I feel blessed to have had our lives touch even though it was for a brief time.May her soul sing and dance in Paradise until we meet again.Love to her family and friends.
Such sad news. I remember Leslie as a Liberty Belle, 1974. She was full of grace, talent and energy. I remember she had a love of dance and theater that came through in the way she moved. A natural beauty. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Lois, when my family moved to Dayton in 1966 Leslie was one of the first friends I made. I thought it was so cool that your family had an above ground pool and she invited me over to swim!
She was so talented, with a beautiful singing voice, and when life didn't go the way she'd planned, she forged ahead anyway and took a different path that was just as satisfying.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I know you were her biggest fan and you loved her immensely as she loved you. May God bless and comfort you during this difficult time.
