Linda Lou Braunberger's Obituary
BRAUNBERGER, Linda Lou, age 80, of Centerville and formerly of the Dayton area, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital-South in Centerville.
Linda had a long and loving relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ. She was first baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dayton, Ohio on November 8, 1980. She was again immersed in the blood of Jesus at Ferry Church of Christ in Waynesville, Ohio on March 30, 1986. She enjoyed bible studies and learning more about Jesus and his teaching. Her Bibles are a testament to her love of his word.
Linda lived a life rich in creativity, tradition, and love for her family. She was an avid quilter who lovingly made blankets to give away, finding joy in creating something meaningful for others. She was also an enthusiastic reader with a deep interest in American history, genealogy, and family stories. Linda spent countless hours researching family history, collecting photographs, preserving news articles, and uncovering long-forgotten images of relatives. All of these treasures she proudly shared with her loved ones.
Her creative talents extended well beyond quilting. Linda enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She delighted in making dolls and handmade keepsakes. She was artistic by nature and loved painting and drawing. Photography was another passion, and she especially enjoyed capturing moments with her 35-millimeter film. Holidays held a special place in Linda’s heart, and she made each one special. Christmas traditions were especially dear to her, from stuffing stockings to baking sugar cookies with her grandchildren and creating homemade gifts for loved ones. Easter meant coloring eggs together, while Halloween brought homemade costumes and laughter. Linda was loving, crafty, artistic, and endlessly creative. Above all, she adored her children and grandchildren, who were the true joy of her life. Linda will be remembered for her creativity, her devotion to family traditions, her love of history and storytelling, and the warmth and care she shared so generously with those around her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Helen Haas, and her son-in-law, Ryan Curtis. She is survived by her son, Brian (Jennifer) Clark; her two daughters, Alana (Louis) Hanser and Helena Curtis (Brennin); her eight grandchildren, Courtney (Nick) Czaja, Caitlin (Bob) Morse, Ashley Clark, Madison Curtis, Jacob Clark, Dalton Hanser, Lillian Curtis, and Samantha Curtis; six great-grandchildren, Aubree, Riley, Jackson, L.J. Garcia, Noah, and Mason; one sister, Roberta (Harley) Jenkins; special aunt, Roberta “Bobbie” Saben; and special niece, Staci (Jon) Mcclain.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Conner & Koch Funeral Home in Bellbrook. Life celebrant Brian Bennett will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 12 PM on Friday, January 16, at the funeral home.
