Margie (Bailey) Bolton's Obituary
A humble and hard-working giver, Margie (Bailey) Bolton, age 77, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center.
Margie was born on December 16th, 1943 to Cecil and Bonnie (Stevens) Bailey in Jackson, Kentucky. As the oldest of seven children growing up on a farm, Margie developed responsibility and a work ethic far beyond her years. She carried these traits into a long career at Delco Products, where she retired after more than 20 years of service.
Margie was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church and looked forward each Sunday to delicious, home-cooked meals (and desserts) after church with her family. Margie loved going to the beach, frequenting beaches in both North Carolina and Florida. She was always up-to-date on hometown (Jackson) and local news stories, from reading the newspaper front to back each day and from her local channel, earning herself the nickname "TV 2". She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed any opportunity to gather and celebrate with family.
Margie never met a stranger and was always loving toward everyone, her sweet presence will be missed by grandsons Billy Bolton and Kyle Bolton, great-grandchildren Nevaeh Walling and Jayce Bolton, stepsons Rodney Bolton, Tony Bolton, and Stoney Bolton, brother Arthur (Kandi) Bailey, sisters Ruby (Jim) Harris, Brenda (Kenneth) Harris, Marie (David) Price, Joan (Timothy) Ritchie, and nieces and nephews Karen Richardson, Pamela (Mark) Day, Dustin (Elly) Russell, Ashley (Scott Andreen) Ritchie, and Alyssa Ritchie, and Many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Bonnie Bailey, son Carl Bolton Jr., and sister Marcella Spencer.
Private services will be held by the family, with burial to take place at Bellbrook Cemetery (3939 Upper Bellbrook Rd. Bellbrook, OH 45305).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to New Life Fellowship Church (999 Spinning Road, Dayton, OH 45431). You are welcome to write a condolence, share a story, or upload a picture of Margie at www.ConnerAndKoch.com.
